Lib Dem leader vulgar speech during party conference finale speech
Ed Davey risked sparking fury as he suggested the Tories are c***s in a major speech to close Lib Dem conference in Bournemouth.
In a vulgar jab at Rishi Sunak, Davey apologised for previously calling Conservative ministers 'Clowns". adding "Clowns took great offence at being compared to this Conservative Government".
He then added "I'm sorry. I used the wrong c-word!"
Davey, who served in David Cameron's coalition government, went on to compare the Tories to "A bad TV soap" with "shock exits and unwelcome returns", where "each episode is worse than the last".
"It's time to change the channel," he said.

During his speech Davey also promised to drag Britain closer to Brussels bureaucrats. He insisted he'd tear up the PM's Brexit deal and "fix our broken relationship with Europe. It's up to us to lead the way," Davey said, adding "A better economy. A better future. With Europe."

Davey had taken to Twitter 31 times to call for public figures to quit for failures in their organisations - but he refused to do the same himself over the Post Office scandal insisting he had been misled.
"Davey must make a public apology for his failure to grip the Horizon scandal, critics said.
Instead the Lib Dems came out fighting insisting their leader was being made 'A Scapegoat' for his time as postal minister between 2010 and 2012.
Treasury Minister Bim Afolami said on Monday Davey had a duty to explain why he did not "ask the right questions at the time whilst (then) Tory deputy chairman Lee Anderson called for him to resign. He blasted "This man, this Ed Davey, has not really looked at both sides of the story. He took the side of the Post Office employers and sadly many went to prison due to him not listening." adding "Instead of making excuses, instead of saying he was lied to, he should properly apologise, make a public apology in parliament, to the people too."
Several victims of the Post Office scandal have also said Davey should consider his position over his role in the fiasco.
