Graham White, 61 at the time of his trial, from Woodside, pleaded guilty to four counts of taking indecent photographs of a minor. The pictures were found when police searched his home in January 2004. The court was told White had been a parish councillor in Madeley, but had resigned the month before his trial.

A parish councillor who admitted taking indecent pictures of a 14-year-old girl has been placed on the Sex Offender's Register. White was given a three year Rehabilitation Order by Magistrates in Shropshire and must take part in a Sex Offenders Programme. His name will stay on the the sex offender's register for five years.
