Tony Brunskill, a disgraced former Cumbrian Council Chairman was jailed for four years after admitting abusing a school boy. Brunskill, 66 at the time of this trial, was already serving a 10 year sentence for offences against Three School Boys.
Carlisle Crown Court was told that the latest crimes, carried out between 1979 and 1981, happened when the victim was aged between 11 and 13.
Brunskill had earlier admitted nine indecent assaults on a boy aged 13 or above, and seven counts of sexual activity with a child under 16. Then before sentencing, he also pleaded guilty to three counts of indecent assault against a third boy.
The judge at Carlisle Crown Court previously sentenced the 66-year-old to a 10-year jail term. He described Brunskill's behaviour as "disgusting" and said it had devastated the victims and their families.
'Victims' courage'
The indecent assaults took place while he was working at a school in Lancashire in the 1970s.
The sexual activity charges, which also included meeting a child for the purpose of sexual grooming, related to a Cumbrian boy and took place between 2008 and 2010.
Brunskill, of Salkeld Dykes near Penrith, was a former chairman of Eden District Council.
Speaking after the case, Det Sgt Kurt Taylor of Cumbria Police said "I would like to applaud the victims in this case for having the courage to come forward and tell us what this man did to them. We will never know why he abused his victims, or the true extent of his offending, as he chose not to explain himself when interviewed."
Brunskill, an ex-district councillor from Cumbria jailed for child sex offences has had his sentence increased from 10 to 14 years after admitting further charges.
In February at Preston Crown Court, he admitted five charges of indecent assault and one serious sexual offence against another boy. Judge Paul Batty described him as "highly manipulative".
The latest charges related to when he was at the Lancashire school. Lancashire Police said Brunskill's latest victim had come forward after hearing about his other crimes.
Det Con Steve Montgomery of Wyre CID said "Brunskill took advantage of his professional position to target his victim, who was vulnerable not just because of his age but because he was away from his family. Brunskill bought his victim presents and took him for driving, flying and shooting lessons - all of which he used to groom the youngster before carrying out his attacks. It took a great deal of courage for Brunskill's victim to come forward, having learnt of his other offences following his conviction and subsequent prison sentence. The additional years that Brunskill has been given behind bars means that a dangerous sexual predator is off our streets for even longer."
